Luxe Living
Some neighborhoods are built. Myers Park was composed. More than a century after its first lots were sold, it remains the address against which every other Charlotte neighborhood is measured.

The Setting
Myers Park was never an accident of growth. In 1911, banker George Stephens turned his father-in-law’s cotton farm south of the city into Charlotte’s first great planned neighborhood and hired the landscape architect John Nolen to design it. More than a century later, the result is the most recognizable residential landscape in the city: curving streets that follow the land, stone gateways, and a cathedral canopy of willow oaks over Queens Road.
The Architecture
Myers Park’s golden age was the 1920s, and its streets still show it. Georgian and Colonial Revival manors, Tudor estates, and gracious Southern homes sit well back on deep, manicured lawns, and some of the finest date to the era’s leading architects. Thoughtful renovations and a small number of new custom homes sit alongside them. Much of the neighborhood is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and it is widely regarded as one of the best-preserved Nolen plans in the country.
The Amenities
Life in Myers Park unfolds under the trees. Queens Road West is one of the most beloved walking and running routes in Charlotte, and Freedom Park, with its lake, trails, and ballfields, sits at the neighborhood’s edge. Myers Park Country Club, opened in 1921 around a Donald Ross golf course, remains one of the city’s most established clubs, and Queens University of Charlotte adds a collegiate charm of its own.
The Location
- About two miles to Uptown Charlotte
- Minutes to SouthPark, Dilworth, and the shops and restaurants of Selwyn Avenue and Providence Road
- Close to Charlotte Latin School, Charlotte Country Day School, and Providence Day School
- Served by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (assignments change over time, so verify them directly with CMS)
Who It Suits
Myers Park suits buyers who value history, architecture, and walkability, and who want to live close to the city without giving up the grace of a garden setting. It appeals to established families, executives who want a short drive Uptown, and anyone who understands that some addresses simply cannot be reproduced.
A Private Conversation
In Myers Park, value lives in the details: the street, the lot, the architect, and how carefully a home has been restored. Some of the neighborhood’s finest homes change hands without ever reaching the open market. Whether you’re buying, selling, or simply curious about your home’s value today, I would be glad to share a current perspective.
